Beginners are more than welcome!

I have taken many first timers out and had great days. Whether you have seen pictures and wanted to give it a shot or have your own supplies and just want to dust them off, I love fishing with beginners! We will talk about fly lines and leader distances, indicators, weights, bugs, and the knots that associate with the rig. I was nervous going out on my own first starting because of the knots so I try to simplify everything as best I can and will spend as much time working knots as you want or need. I strive to leave clients able to go out on their own and catch fish.

What gear will I need?

A Utah fishing License: You are in charge of obtaining your current Utah fishing license. They can be purchased at local sporting goods stores or online at FishUtah.org (or by clicking the link above).

Sunglasses and Rain Gear: Sunglasses are important but not necessary. I recommend polarized glasses which help cut surface glare and make for easier wading and fish spotting. It never hurts to throw in a rain jacket or shell just to be safe.

If you want to bring your own supplies and get more comfortable with your own materials you will receive help with knots, weights, indicators, and anything and everything you need to catch fish.

What does the trip include?

Fishing Gear: We provide basic outfits (rod, reels, and fly line) as well as waders and boots for clients who need them, but you are welcome to bring and use your own equipment.  You will be asked sizes when you book a trip.

Snacks and beverages: Bottled water, sport drinks and snacks are included on half day trips, a lunch will be provided for full day trips. Clients are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks. No alcohol is allowed during the fishing trip as it is a safety liability.
