We met and partnered with an awesome, fast trending company called FishOn Energy. If you follow fly fishing on Instagram I am sure you have seen their awesome branding! The nicest guys in the fly fishing apparel business were interested in fishing a day before heading back to Los Angeles and Las Vegas and I was honored to take them out. We met at 6 A.M. in Morgan and set out on a streamer trip on the Weber River and talked fishing, life, UFC, and business! We moved fish all morning just weren’t hooking up so moved a few miles upriver around 9 A.M. and starting getting into the fish. Owner Jason Vigil and partner Mike “Quicksand” Pyle picked up the technique quick and we landed four fish on streamers. The water was fast and tough and we lost some great fish but this is a memory that I will never forget. We didn’t get as many pictures as we hoped as Jason #fishflopped the first, the second escaped through a hole in our net, and after we rigged the net with some 4X tippet we got some pictures from our outing. Utah rep Brad Green met up with us later and landed his first Weber River Brown on a streamer! I look forward to taking them out again in late September on their annual fly fishing road trip.
