801 Fly Fishing made some last minute arrangements and was able to participate in the 2015 Heber Valley Fly Fishing Festival in Heber City. We were asked if we were interested in offering free on the water clinics and we jumped on the opportunity to talk streamer fishing with some followers and fans as well as complete strangers wanting to learn a new technique of fly fishing. 801 Fly Fishing shared a booth with an awesome new business partner Allan Aguirre from Northern Utah Anglers and we had a great time sitting and talking guiding, fishing, and fun for two days straight. Allan offers a full guide service on the Provo River and is a master of the “Provo Bounce Rig”. Friday was the slower of the two days yet both of our clinics filled up with interested participants. We mingled with many companies and groups and made some great friends in a couple short days. We were able to have beers, Uintah Cutthroats of course, and hot dogs during the after party and mingle with people in the business. I was honored to have followers on social media travel to Heber just to talk streamer fishing during some on the water clinics.
